I am a glutton for punishment

Like a dog returns to its vomit, I continue to visit both the Sojourners blog site and Brian McLaren’s webpage.

No doubt, it’s only a matter of time before I am again blocked from posting on Sojourners. The last time, it was for simply asking a question. I’m currently engaged in a debate here.

Despite what B-Mac says here, comments are not allowed on his site. In other B-Mac news, he’s heading to Africa. Apparently being “all in when it comes to commitment to environmental stewardship” doesn’t include not flying to Africa and poisoning the air that you and I breathe. Plus, that $3300 you’re about to spend could buy almost 3 cows.

On this post, Brian writes, “A search for a new kind of Christian faith can’t be reduced to another list of propositions about which debates rage and over which debaters indulge in hostile polemics.”

The source of this quote? His new book called “A New Kind of Christianity: 10 Questions That are Transforming the Faith.”

For those of you in public school, I’ll put the cookies on a lower shelf. B-Mac said that the last thing we need is a new list of things to argue about…in a book…made of a new list of things that we will argue about.

Somehow, I don’t think I’m going to be winner of this contest.
