For some reason, I’ve had trouble getting into Blogger over the past week, so here’s the briefest of updates:
The Weekend That Was:
We had a wonderful visit with Anne’s older sister and her family. They drove down from Sioux Falls on Friday, and we spent the entire weekend with them. Lance is a pastor at an Assemblies of God church in SF, and they brought 3 of their children with them. They are great to hang around with. We went swimming Friday night, and Saturday evening, we were up late playing Rock Band. We were sad to see them leave Sunday afternoon.
Anne started radiation this past Monday. She’ll go until the first week of June.
Our youth group’s 30 Hour Famine is this weekend. We’ll be homeless for a while, sleeping in our church parking lot Friday night, and are serving at the Cedar House Shelter on Saturday morning.
We had a meeting last night with the architects that we are working with on our building project. It was encouraging.
Our busy summer is literally right around the corner. There is a lot to do, and not a lot of time to do it.
I had a prayer answered this morning within an hour of offering it. God is pretty incredible.
In the run-up to the busyness of summer during the next few weeks, I need to manage my time as I will have the tendency to put my family on the backburner.
Finally, this just happened:
All I can say is, “Wow”.
