Back in EM Bounds…

“…when faith is broken down, the foundations of spiritual life give way, and the entore structure of religious experience falls…A praying faith keeps the commandments of God and does those things which are well pleasing in his (God’s) sight…Obedience helps faith, and faith, in turn, helps obedience. To do God’s will is essential to true faith, and faith is necessary to implicit obebience.”

Well, that explains that.

  1. Dude, are you reading “The Complete Works of E.M. Bounds on Prayer”? That has some great stuff in it. Not sure what book it is but one of my favorite quotes goes something like this:Both preacher and church may be, by the worlds standard, synonymous with success. But unless it all rests upon a solid foundation of prayer than it is just a matter of time before it all crumbles and falls apart.
