My prayer life sucks right now.

Today’s study from Experiencing God was an eye-opener for me…speaking of daily time with God, Blackaby writes, “I keep the time alone with God, not in order to have a relationship, but because I have a relationship…You set aside a quiet time because you know him and therefore you love Him, not only to learn about Him.”

So yesterday, I began to pray through the Psalms, going to read aloud 2 Psalms per day at the beginning of my time, and go from there.

Jessica said something interesting at SYATP, she said that God does not love us more because we are “good” at praying, or less because we struggle through the day in our sin.

I thank God that His love is not dependent on my response to Him, He proved His love in a final act for me through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Thanks be to God.
